The African Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (AOAI) will take place in Sousse, Tunisia, from 9 to 12 April 2026.

AOAI 2026 will serve as the African qualifiers for the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) and will be organized as a hybrid event, allowing both on-site participation in Sousse and online participation for delegations across the African continent.

The event will bring together high-school students, mentors, and national coordinators to engage in advanced artificial intelligence challenges aligned with IOAI standards, fostering innovation, learning, and collaborative problem-solving within Africa’s growing AI ecosystem.
