A Growing Global Community
We are proud to share that IOAI has now reached 126 accredited countries and territories out of 193 UN member states — representing 66% of the world. This is a truly remarkable milestone and a testament to the strength and momentum of the IOAI community.
IOAI & UNESCO Collaboration
We are delighted to announce that IOAI 2026 will be held under the patronage of UNESCO.
In addition, IOAI has initiated close collaboration with the UNESCO Ethics in AI team, including:
- An Ethics in AI lecture during the 1st African Olympiad in AI (2026), delivered by Robert Kroplewski
- A dedicated AI Ethics lecture during IOAI 2026 in Astana (2–8 August 2026)
- Joint development (currently in progress) of an “Ethics in AI” module for the 2026/2027 IOAI national selection (first round)
- Collaboration with laureates of the UNESCO–Uzbekistan Beruniy Prize
