In the first edition of the International Olympiad in AI, the Contest was separated into a Scientific Round and a Practical Round. The purpose of the Scientific Round was for teams to train new AI models while the goal for the Practical Round was for the contestants to use existing AI tools in order to accomplish creative tasks.
The Scientific Round featured an at-home stage and an on-site stage with 3 problems for each: one in Natural Language Processing (NLP), one in Machine Learning (ML), and one in Computer Vision (CV). Teams had one month to work on the at-home problems and 8 hours to work on the on-site problems. Below you can download the Google Colab notebooks for both the at-home and on-site stages, as well as the best solutions for each.
The Practical Round only had an on-site stage with 2 problems: one for image generation and one for video generation. Teams had 4 hours to work on the practical round. Below you can download the assignment (in .pdf) and the resources for the task, such as lyrics, photos, and audio (in .zip format), as well as the best solution.
