Second edition of the IOAI starts!
Process
Countries or territories interested in participating for the first time must secure accreditation through a Country representative (organization or body responsible for the national selection of teams). The Board may permit participation from non-accredited countries in the IOAI under certain circumstances. These conditions include but may not be limited to: A comprehensive rationale for the inability of the country or territory to seek accreditation. A well-defined plan or strategy outlining the steps the country or territory will undertake to achieve accreditation within the next two years. Engagement in an online dialogue with Board members to discuss the aforementioned aspects and address any additional queries that may emerge. It is important to note that the allowance for non-accredited countries to participate is restricted to a maximum of two consecutive years for each applying institution. Each accredited country or territory is entitled to send either one or two teams. Each team consists of four contestants and a team leader. An additional deputy team leader may be registered at an additional fee (“observer fee”). Each country can be represented by at most two teams with up to 2 team leaders (or a team leader and a deputy leader if the country participates with only one team). All countries and territories, both accredited and non-accredited, wishing to participate in the 2nd edition of the IOAI must fill out the Registration form:
Fees
Early bird registration
1 Nov 2024 – 31 Dec 2024
First team – 1500 EUR
Second team – 2700 EUR
Observer – 550 EUR
Single room supplement – 500 EUR
A down payment of 500 EUR per team is required by 31 December 2024. Full payment of the fees must be made by 30 April 2025; failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of early bird registration rates and the application of standard fees.
Standard registration
1 Jan – 31 May 2025
First team – 1800 EUR
Second team – 3000 EUR
Sponsored teams** – 700 EUR
Observer – 700 EUR
Single room supplement – 700 EUR
A down payment of 500 EUR per team is required within 3 weeks of the registration. Full payment of the fees must be made by 31 May 2025.
Late registration
1 Jun - 30 June 2025
First team – 2100 EUR
Second team – 3200 EUR
Observer – 900 EUR
Single room supplement – 700 EUR
Full payment is required within 2 weeks of the registration.
The fees include the following for a team of five persons (4 contestants and a team leader):
- Transfers for arrival (2 August) and departure (9 August) from/to Beijing International airport
- Accommodations in double rooms for 7 nights for participants
- Accommodation for 7 nights for 1 team leader
- Full board from dinner on 2 August till breakfast on 9 August
- Participation in the contests during the IOAI
- Access to the online course in June 2025
- Participation in all IOAI social and cultural events
The fees do not include:
- Travel expenses from/to the participants home country to Beijing, China
- Additional days and meals outside the IOAI schedule
- Visa application charges
- Travel or health insurance
- Supplement for different than the standard accommodation
